Both ITV shows had been nominated in the Daytime category alongside The Chase and The Repair Shop at the glitzy ceremony hosted by comedian Joel Dommett.
While the Wylde Moon founder and Phil have been courting controversy after mourners claimed they skipped the queue for the Queen’s coffin, the backlash did not dampen their chances at the bash.
The duo and ITV have all strenuously denied the allegations, saying they followed the procedure in place for the media and insisting they would ‘never skip a queue.’
Presented by Strictly’s Ellie Simmons and Nikita Kuzmin, the coveted gong went to This Morning, with Holly and Phil looking completely overwhelmed by the result, which is voted by the public.
Clutching each other, while some , Holly and Phil made their way to the stage where they graciously accepted the gong.
Phil said: ‘Please don’t think we ever get complacent and please don’t think we ever take this for granted.
‘This means so much to us every year, especially this year. We have the most amazing team, I have the best friend, we have the best boss.’
However, looked rather less than impressed was Linda, who did not clap when This Morning was announced as victorious.
Instead, the Birds of a Feather actress looked rather stony-faced as Loose Women missed out on the gong.
While Kaye Adams and Brenda Edwards clapped politely, Linda turned to Katie Piper and appeared to whisper in her ear, before pointing at the stage.
Holly also spoke as the team accepted the award, saying This Morning had a ‘special relationship’ with its audience.
She added: ‘You make our show for us, you really do.’
