Mollie Gallagher and Siva Kaneswaran got so close to the grand final – but it wasn’t to be.
Tonight’s live show saw the remaining finalists performing twice in a bid to impress judges , , and Ashley Banjo.
The stars first participated in a solo skate, and then danced a special number personal to them.
Presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield announced that Nile Wilson and The Vivienne secured their place in the final.
However, Mollie and her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon, Joey Essex and Vanessa Bauer and Siva and skating pro Klabera Komini had to skate again in order to impress the judges.
The judges had a tough decision, but all four of them opted to save the former Towie star.
‘I’m just so happy and proud of all of us,’ said Siva after Holly and Phillip asked them how they were feeling.
Mollie added: ‘I’ve actually achieved everything I wanted, I wanted to do my personal skate and I’ve done it. I’m so so happy.’
Fans took to Twitter to show their support for Mollie and Siva, with one writing: ‘Mollie & Sylvain have done brilliantly each week & did so well to make it to the semi final! Be proud of yourselves.’
Another added: ‘Siva skate gave me goosebumps i felt it had more meaning and personally was the best for me what a fix wrong so wrong.’
Despite suffering a nasty tumble during the first number, The Vivienne secured three 10s from the judges following her emotional routine to Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
It was also a big night for gymnast Nile Wilson who reigned supreme during the solo skate and nabbed the first 40 of the series.
Dancing On Ice returns next Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV.
