Most anticipated Netflix show of 2024 revealed – prepare for the ultimate binge-watch

The most eagerly awaited shows of 2024 have been revealed.

The global streaming platform has had another strong year, with new seasons of major shows including Heartstopper, and the documentary earning legions of fans.

are thriller The Night Agent and psychopath drama You, starring Penn Badgley, and viewers are looking forward to more bingeable series and water cooler moments next year.

And those series have now been revealed, thanks to a study that has unveiled the shows viewers are most desperate to watch in 2024.

Entertainment experts at  have analysed the unreleased seasons with the most Google searches each month across the past year to determine which programmes are piquing audiences’ interest.

‌It found that is the most anticipated unreleased show season in the UK, coming in with a whopping 96,921 searches a month, over double the searches for second place.

Jenna Ortega, who plays the titular rolewhat Addams Family fans can expect from the second season.

She told Jimmy Fallon: ‘I think we want to up the horror aspects a little bit and get Wednesday out of the romantic situation and just let her be her own individual and fight her own crime.’

Viewers have been counting down the days until the next instalment of Wednesday on X, with Hannah Parks exclaiming:’Just watched Wednesday again and OMG balled my eyes out, the ending was absolutely amazing went through every emotion possible bring on season 2 my fellow Wednesday lovers #Wednesday.’

Echoing Kanata’s sentiment, social media account TSKladem enthused: ‘Watching Wednesday is just perfection, it just has everything the only thing it doesn’t is more episodes season 2 is going to be so good, can’t wait to see what Jenna has been working up because her dedication to Wednesday is like nothing else.’

Coming in second on the list is Squid Game season two with an average of 46,327 monthly searches for the next installment in the Korean survival thriller.

The first instalment of the dystopian drama became one of Netflix’s most-watched shows ever, with  during its first 28 days on the streaming platform, smashing previous records.

While season one saw its characters face off in a range of deadly children’s games to compete for a massive cash prize, plot details for season two have been kept under wraps.

Squid Game fans, however, have had a fix while they wait for the follow-up in the form of.
