’s son Josey has graduated kindergarten, almost two years on from the star’s death aged 33.
The after accidentally drowning during a boating incident at Lake Piru, California. Her body was discovered five days later.
Josey was with her at the time but Naya used the last of her strength to put him back onto the boat, where he was later found safe and sleeping.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey, who is also parent to Josey, shared a sweet round-up of pictures to mark his six-year-old son finishing kindergarten.
In some of the pictures, Ryan held Josey in his arms, with both dressed in smart jackets and ties for the occasion, as they beam for the camera together.
In another, Josey was pictured with his graduation certificate, while he also posed for a picture making the peace sign with his fingers.
Proud dad Ryan, 38, also shared slightly blurred snaps of him giving his son a fierce hug and a kiss as they celebrated together.
‘Can’t believe it but it’s officially ✌️out Kindergarten !!!!??,’ Ryan shared.
He added, somewhat disbelievingly: ‘My baby boy is really a big boy now on his way to 1st grade [sic]?!
‘@joseydorsey I love you so much and you make me so proud to be your Dad! Upward and onward to the next chapter my little man!! ❤️’
Plenty of friends and followers had left their congratulations in the comments, including Naya’s former Glee co-star, Jenna Ushkowitz.
The 35-year-old, who recently with husband David Stanley, wrote: ‘Wow ??? congrats josey!!!!!’
‘Congrats to Josey! His mom should be very proud of you both,’ one follower commented. ‘You have a beautiful relationship with your son!
Naya and Ryan had briefly dated in 2010 before finding each other again in 2014, and secretly tying the knot that July.
They announced they were expecting baby Josey in February 2015.
In 2016, Naya filed for divorce from Ryan before calling off the separation. However, they split again the following year with the divorce finalised in June 2018.
Despite their turbulent marriage, Naya and Ryan remained good friends and often shared photos of them spending time as a family with Josey until her death.
Naya’s friends and family rallied together last year to , with tributes pouring in from celebrities and fans alike.
Ryan also shared as he marked the first anniversary of her funeral, acknowledging it as ‘a strange and difficult month’ for the family.
‘He misses you but knows he’ll see you again, and the invisible string is something that’s helped us out during this ever-evolving transition of your time with us on earth that was unfairly & for reasons we’ll never understand cut short…too soon…’, the actor wrote.
‘Fly high, Rest In Peace, knowing he’s doing ? ok…he’s being raised right, and he’s got a lot of family and people around him that love him, and you,’ Ryan concluded the post.
