has opened up about rumors of a feud with following the release of her debut album.
The Vampire singer previously described the Grammy-winner as one of her biggest inspirations in music, before.
However, their bond raised eyebrows when the 20-year-old retroactively gave the Shake It Off musician, 33, and Jack Antonoff, 39, writing credits on Sour – with many fans convinced they had secretly fallen out.
In a new interview to promote her second album, Guts, she was questioned about the speculation, but insisted there is no truth to the claims.
‘I don’t have beef with anyone,’ she told . ‘I’m very chill. I keep to myself. I have my four friends and my mom, and that’s really the only people I talk to, ever. There’s nothing to say.’
Olivia also gave Paramore a writing credit for her banger, Good 4 U, but it is unclear whether she was forced to give the artists credits after the release.
‘I was a little caught off guard,’ she confessed. ‘At the time it was very confusing, and I was green and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Is that the phrase?
‘It’s not something that I was super involved in. It was more team-on-team. So, I wouldn’t be the best person to ask.’
When asked if she would demand credit from a younger artist, Olivia added: ‘I don’t think I would ever personally do that.
‘But who’s to say where I’ll be in 20, 30 years. All that I can do is write my songs and focus on what I can control.’
Olivia has a lot to celebrate at the moment as, not only is she soaring up the charts with her new album, but she has been tipped to win big at the MTV VMAs tonight.
As well as this, she has been named as a performer at the ceremony, alongside Shakira, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.
The Brutal star has been nominated for five awards, including song of the year and the coveted video of the year trophy, for her hit Vampire.
She will be battling it out for the crown against Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, SZA, Taylor and Nicki Minaj – who is hosting proceedings.
Bring it on!
