Any hardcore Swifties reading this will be familiar with the name Whit Wright.

Whit was of course ’s high school boyfriend and the guy she took to prom in 2008.

These days, Taylor’s totally , but that hasn’t stopped fans from wondering whether the Love Story crooner’s old prom date was offered freebies to 33-year-old .

Spoiler alert: he wasn’t.

On Wednesday, a social media user claiming to be Whit (it all looks pretty legit) replied to someone confirming Taylor hadn’t invited him along.

Posting photos of Whit and Taylor at prom, someone on Twitter pondered: ‘Did he get tickets to the eras tour?’

Re-tweeting the message, Whit quipped: ‘Ha no tickets this way!’

What a bummer.

Earlier this month, the Grammy-winner and has since performed a handful of blockbuster shows.

Over the next few weeks, the chart-topper will hit dozens of cities across America.

Ticketmaster was forced to release a statement that read: ‘Due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, tomorrow’s public on-sale has been cancelled.’

The drama even led to several dozen fans of the musician to reportedly sue Ticketmaster for ‘fraud, price fixing and antitrust violations’, as well as ‘intentional deception’.

There have so far been no dates announced for Europe or the UK.
