According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department, ’s six-show run, which kicked off on Thursday, requires a similar level of security to the 2022 .

Additional law enforcement has also been put in place for the six sold-out shows, which are taking place at the SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood.

Taylor, 33, is the only artist in history to have in the arena.

Last year, the SoFi – which has a capacity of up to 100,000 – hosted the Super Bowl, which is widely considered to be the biggest night in the sporting calendar.

On Thursday, the force released the following statement: ‘The department, in coordination with LA Metro and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), will be providing additional law enforcement staffing throughout the Metro system to support the Taylor Swift concert series at SoFi Stadium.

‘The department is providing a similar level of visibility as the 2022 Super Bowl in order to ensure the safety of the public throughout the Metro System.’

On Thursday, the Shake It Off hitmaker announced a slew of further North America dates for the Eras Tour in 2024, in Florida, Louisiana, Indiana, and Toronto, in Canada.

‘Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era. Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024,’ she wrote, adding that she would be joined by support act Gracie Abrams for the shows.

Earlier this week, the popstar generously as a thank you. A source told TMZ the money was an ‘end of tour’ bonus, as the singer comes to the end of her US leg.

So far, the Eras Tour has been a wild ride from diving into the stage head-first, to mouthing cryptic words of love to rumoured lover Matty Healy, to causing a literal earthquake during her show in Seattle. Way to shake it off, Tay!
