Introducing his character, who’s had his life turned upside down, Christopher said: ‘Callum’s life with his mum and dad has been almost perfect.

‘He’s had his little pod that he’s grown up in, nice house, all these comforts, and this really rocks the boat because it affects the relationship with his mother, it effects the relationship with his father, so yeah there is a lot to deal with.’

He added: ‘In my life I’ve had a similar kind of experience, I found new sisters only a few years ago so I had to navigate my relationship with a new dad and with my sisters and all that kind of stuff.’

He said that the shared experience ‘helped’ with taking on Callum’s role, although, he jokingly admitted that unlike Callum, he ‘hadn’t kissed one of my sisters’ before knowing who she really was.

It’s not just Christopher who relates to his character, as Lauren also admitted how alike her and her character Cat are.

Cat is known for her eccentricity, playfulness and not taking herself too seriously, from working as a Deliveroo driver, always wanting to party and having some light experiences on Tinder.

Lauren shared: ‘I sort of do the same stuff to be honest, apart from a Deliveroo driver.

‘Tinder has been an experience of mine, it’s not worked out.

‘It’s just a fun, happy character to play, and it’s very refreshing to have that.’

However, despite their personalities matching, Lauren added that their dress-senses are worlds apart.

‘She’s very out there, which makes the character even more funny, because she looks like a clown half the time, a female version of Mr Tumble,’ she joked.
