Blac Chyna’s trial against the Kardashians has kicked off this week, with the famous family .
The model, real name Angela White, was previously engaged to Rob Kardashian and shares daughter Dream with the sock entrepreneur.
Their rollercoaster relationship was explored in E! series Rob & Chyna in 2016, which was axed following their split.
However, the 33-year-old has launched a lawsuit on , alleging that his family were behind it being taken off air.
Why is Blac Chyna suing the Kardashians?
Rob & Chyna was greenlit in 2016 as the former couple prepared to welcome their first child, and aired at the end of that year.
It was canceled after one series, after which Chyna alleged that the family – specifically Kim, Khloe and Kris and Kylie Jenner – were responsible for it being taken off air.
While the dad-of-one’s attorney has maintained their split is what caused the show to end, she has insisted that his family were behind the cancelation, and plotted to ensure it was scrapped.
According to court documents obtained by Mail Online, she is suing them for $108million (£83m) in damages – $44million (£33m) for ‘past economic damage’ and $64million (£49m) for ‘future economic damage’.
Chyna alleged that the cancelation ‘not only hurt me financially and emotionally, that hurt my beautiful kids.
‘I’m taking them to court to stand up for my legal rights and to be an example to my kids that, “What’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong”. And what they did was so wrong.
‘I am so thankful that a jury will finally listen to what really happened behind closed doors – the lies that were told and the damage that was done.
‘At the end of the trial, I’m going to be able to proudly tell King and Dream that I did everything I could to right the wrong that was done to me’.
She concluded: ‘And that, in life, it is my hope that they will be able to stand up for themselves when it matters too. Peace and Love to you all. Angela.’
In response, the Kardashians have denied any wrongdoing, and alleged that they had legitimate concerns about the pair, given the ‘violence and toxicity’ of their relationship.
When did Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna date?
Rob and Chyna started dating at the beginning of 2016 and embarked on a whirlwind romance, going public with their relationship in January of that year.
Just weeks later, they sparked engagement rumors and confirmed their happy news in April, 2016.
In May, Chyna – who also shares King Cairo with Tyga – announced that she was expecting their first child together, welcoming baby Dream in November.
It wasn’t to last and the on-off pair endured a very public split in 2017, when Rob posted explicit photos of his ex-partner on social media.
They have been co-parenting daughter Dream but Rob has remained largely out of the limelight ever since.
