Rhea Ripley and her ‘lookalike’ sister have left fans stunned after Elimination Chamber: Perth this weekend.
The 27-year-old superstar was back in her home country for Saturday’s and she had 13 members of her family sitting on the front row.
Her main event match was the first time shesince her farewell for Riot City Wrestling (RCW) back in 2017, when she first signed for WWE.
After beating Nia Jax to retain the Women’s World Championship, Rhea had a chance to savour the moment as she hopped onto the ringside barrier and hugged her loved ones.
In a very sweet moment, her younger sister leaned in for a hug, beaming with pride.
Fans also enjoyed the emotional scenes, although a lot of people were distracted by the similarities between her sibling and for WWE in the Mae Young Classic seven years ago.
One fan wrote: ‘I assume that’s Rhea’s sister. But it really looks like younger @RheaRipley_WWE time traveled to 2024 to witness her own victory in her home town. The resemblance to early Rhea is crazy.’
A second X user agreed, adding: ‘It’s like younger Rhea also time traveled to be in the crowd for her own victory.’
‘Rhea Ripley’s sister looks like Rhea Ripley from Mae Young Classic,’ pointed out one fan, while another added: ‘Rhea’s sister looks exactly like her before she went heavy in the gym.’
‘Rhea’s sister looks just like her! #WWEChamber,’ wrote a third fan, with plenty of other people echoing the sentiment.
There’s no suggestion Rhea’s sister is going to follower in her footsteps, but others are already imagining them taking over the tag team ranks in WWE.
‘Rhea and her sister will make a great Tag Team,’ predicted one eager fan.
After winning the bout, the Judgment Day superstar will head into WrestleMania 40 as champion, with a huge match set up against Becky Lynch after the latter triumphed in the women’s Elimination Chamber.
In the men’s version, Drew McIntyre won to earn himself a shot at Seth Rollins and the World Heavyweight Title.
