Andy Robertson is ‘awful’ and ‘disgusting to watch’ in training, according to his former Liverpool teammate .
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool in 2017 in the same summer as Robertson, and the pair have gone onto achieve great things at Anfield.
This includes the title, the , Carabao Cup and Club World Cup.
Sadly for the midfielder, his time with the club was badly affected by injuries and earlier this summer he departed the Reds upon the expiry of his contract and he has now joined Turkish giants Besiktas.
During the 30-year-old’s time with the club, he played with some of the best players in the world, including Robertson who is regarded as perhaps the best left-back in the game right now.
However, Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed that the Scotland captain is not all he’s built up to be, at least when it comes to the rondo training drill.
‘Yeah, he’s possibly the worst I’ve ever played with in a rondo,’ the former England star said on the YouTube channel.
‘You watch him in a rondo… I don’t know how he’s so good at football. Honestly, it’s disgusting to watch. And I’ll say that with chest on camera.
‘Honestly, I say it to him all the time. He’ll admit it, he’s awful in a rondo!
‘His hips don’t move great, so anything that’s a stretch, he’s falling over. He’s just not nice in a rondo! No flair about him in a rondo.’
As for who was the best in training, Oxlade-Chamberlain named Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino, who also left Anfield this summer, as the standouts, labelling the former’s passing as a joke.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is yet to make his Besiktas debut but could do so on Sunday when they play Pendikspor.
