Inter Milan have made a bid for defender Benjamin Pavard, looking to beat the likes of and Arsenal to the Frenchman.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Serie A side have made an offer worth €25m (£21.3m) for the World Cup-winning defender.
The 27-year-old has reportedly made it clear to Bayern that he is keen to leave this summer and experience a new league, be it in or the .
Pavard is out of contract next season so there is certainly a price that Bayern will accept for him, but it may well be more than the £21.3m Inter have offered.
Manchester United remain interested in the versatile defender, but are struggling to come up with the funds as they have failed to sell Harry Maguire this summer as they have planned to.
Arsenal were not in the market for another defender, but after the serious knee injury suffered by summer-signing Jurrien Timber, they are considering making a move.
Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel was asked about the future of the former Stuttgart man at a press conference on Thursday and insisted that Pavard has not told him that he wants to move on.
‘Benji hasn’t communicated to me that he really wants to leave,’ Tuchel told a press conference on Thursday. ‘As of now, there hasn’t been an offer.
‘He’s our player and gets full support. Until that changes, we’re fully counting on him.’
