midfielder Federico Valverde insists there is no chance he is leaving the club this summer, despite interest from the likes of Liverpool and .
The 24-year-old was a big player for Los Blancos over the last season, making 56 appearances across all competitions and scoring 12 goals.
There is already a lot of competition for places in the Real Madrid midfield with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni all there already and now arriving in a big-money move from .
There has been speculation that the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea are keen to take advantage of the situation and could make moves for the Uruguay international, while Manchester United have also been linked with Valverde in the past.
However, he is certainly not pushing for an exit, wanting to stay where he is and win more silverware with the club.
‘No, no – I’m at Madrid, trying to enjoy every moment and leave my mark on the best club in the world,’ Valverde told ESPN Argentina when asked about a possible move.
‘I want to keep winning titles for Real Madrid fans.’
New signing Bellingham has echoed Valverde’s desire for trophies, telling a press conference as he was presented as a Real Madrid player: ‘A club like Madrid and its fans and the people who work for the club deserve to have trophies every year. This year they didn’t manage to get La Liga and the Champions League.
‘That is the standard I want to help the club reach, where they can compete for these honours very closely every year.
‘Manchester City had a great season, but it just gives us more fire to go for it next year.’
