Ray Parlour believes the players need to come together as a squad and work out their problems on a big night out if they are finish in the top four.

United have endured a tricky campaign, with multiple players struggling for form as well as going through a managerial change with the sacking of and the appointment of interim boss .

Currently four points off the Premier League top four – and out of all other competitions – the Red Devils will need to finish the season strong if they are to pip rivals and Tottenham to the last remaining Champions League qualification spot.

Rumours of discourse at Old Trafford are rife however, with players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire allegedly not getting along on and off the pitch.

How much of this is true is up for debate, but nevertheless Arsenal legend Parlour has offered a solution to the United team, suggesting that they should go on a night out together to sort out their differences.

Speaking on , he said: ‘It should happen. We used to do that after we’d lost a game, we’d have a big meeting on a Monday and people say, “What happened, what were you doing for that goal etc.”

‘That was the good old days, but I don’t think that happens now because times have changed.’

Parlour – who won countless trophies with the Gunners, including three Premier League titles – added that his manager Arsene Wenger was also part of these meetings.

‘Arsene Wenger was very clever because he didn’t want to jump down people’s throats straight after the game because he might have got it wrong when watching it live,’ continued Parlour.

‘So, Wenger used to always look at the video plenty of times and now he knows exactly whose fault it is, and the players know whose fault it is and then you sit down as group. You may have a big argument but at least you sort it out.

‘That’s what that’s what you got to do because you’re professional footballers. If Manchester United finish off the season well, they could be fourth.

‘They got to go to the Emirates for a big game, but they’ve got big players who can turn up on a big occasion and beat Arsenal, but they’ve got to sort it out.

‘There’s no good having paper talk every day about the Manchester United squad saying we’re not happy. Just get on with it as players now.’
