was full of apologies for the crowd after what he called a ‘s**t show’ of a set.
The 26-year-old star on Saturday evening for a hotly-anticipated performance, to rest due to physical and struggles.
Despite a roaring reception from a thousands-strong crowd who were more than happy to see him back on stage, Lewis walked off looking defeated.
‘Sorry, I’m a bit annoyed at myself,’ he said solemnly.
‘I recently took three weeks off, just because I’ve been non-stop this past year and needed a break for my head and my mental health, but I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it’s obviously so incredible, so I wanted to thank you all for coming out and watching us,’ he sweetly said.
‘I was s**t scared, but you really put me at ease so thank you very much.’
Needlessly apologising, he added: ‘I’m really sorry and hope you will have me back on, even though this is a s**t show.’
Lewis then confirmed he’ll likely be out of the spotlight for a while again.
‘I feel like I will be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks, so you probably won’t see that much of me for the rest of the year even maybe, but when I do come back and I do see you I hope you are still up for watching us.’
The crowd was on hand to help Lewis through his whole set, singing along with him when his voice started to go.
Fans online also rallied around him, hailing him an ‘inspiration’ and ‘sobbing’ watching along on TV as he looked downcast.

Despite not feeling 100%, Lewis still managed to give the crowd a good laugh.
He’s become known for turning his gigs into comedy routines, and that’s exactly what happened at Worthy Farm, as the Bruises hitmaker taunted the crowd.

Alas, it didn’t happen, but the build-up was hysterical.
‘Ed has been in America for the last little while so he’s not been over in the UK doing much, but we’re close friends,’ he began.
‘So I phone him up and say, “This weekend I’m playing the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, it’s a big thing”, we’re good friends…’
The crowd started screaming as Lewis continued: ‘Ladies and gentlemen… Ed Sheeran’.
After a brief pause, he laughed: ‘He’s not f***ing here, but it would be cool if he was,’ then launching into emotional ballad Pointless.
